Recurrent pregnancy loss is difficult, to say the least. The emotional and physical toll it takes on a woman can't really be understood unless you've been through it. At Westside Women's Health, we look at our job as trying to help you get to the bottom of what's going on. We do that through a thorough history and physical, but also through ultrasound and other procedures that we can do in the office, such as an office hysteroscopy.
This will allow us to try to get to the bottom of what's going on. Possible causes could be hormonal problems like thyroid antibody abnormalities. Sometimes it's because of uterine abnormalities, so the uterine cavity needs to be looked at with ultrasound and hysteroscopy. And sometimes it's due to blood clotting disorders that would be investigated through blood tests. You may have had some of these tests.
You may have had none of them. My job will be to give you a second opinion and to thoroughly repeat and review everything to help you get on your way to a successful pregnancy.
